We were approached by a client who had previously worked on one of our ongoing projects. Having experienced our design process firsthand and being deeply impressed by the way our concepts were coming to life, he reached out to us again — this time with a very personal request: to design his dream home for his joint family in his native village near Ranasthalam, Srikakulam.
The client is extremely passionate about architecture, spatial quality, and aesthetics. He appreciated the design sensibilities in our previous work and was confident in our ability to bring his vision to life. His trust in our team meant a lot, and we were excited to take this forward.
We began by visiting the site — a 60 ft x 50 ft north-facing plot, also abutting a road on the east side, which gave us an excellent opportunity to make the most of natural light and ventilation in our planning.
However, there was a major design constraint: the columns were already constructed. This posed a challenge in aligning our spatial planning and architectural expression with the existing structural grid. But instead of seeing this as a limitation, we embraced it as a creative opportunity.
We reimagined the spatial layout around the column structure, making minimal adjustments where possible, and introduced design elements that masked the rigidity of the existing frame — allowing us to create a modern, luxurious feel throughout the building. The design now reflects both functionality and elegance, tailored for a large family while offering beautiful open spaces, privacy where needed, and a clear architectural identity.
One of the key highlights is the pooja room, which stands out with a distinct and meaningful design — something the client particularly valued. It was conceptualized as the spiritual core of the home, and the way it came together has been deeply satisfying.
Currently, the project is under civil execution stage, and the progress on-site is going well.
This home represents more than just architecture — it’s about emotion, trust, culture, and creating a space where generations of a family can live, grow, and celebrate life together.
